Introduction

The library maintains an extensive poetry collection thanks to the generosity of several benefactors including the late Mrs. Margery Ward, who honored the memory of her husband and former TCNJ English professor, Herman M. Ward (1947-1977), with a substantial gift fund for the acquisition of poetry.
