Did you use one of the core databases to find a relevant article citation? Track down the full-text by searching for the journal title in the library's JOURNAL BY TITLE search tool, built into the library's "discovery service" (or main library search).
If the library cannot immediately make available the article(s) you need, place an interlibrary loan (or ILL) request. Library staff will acquire the article(s) on your behalf from another library. Turnaround time is typically less than one working day.
The following abstracting and indexing databases and full-text journal archives reveal and in some cases provide full-text access to the peer-reviewed journal and other scholarly literature on ancient Mesoamerica. Some databases are open access. Others are licensed by our library.
Bibliografía Mesoamericana, a groundbreaking indexing project developed jointly by the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies (FAMSI) and the University of Pennsylvania's Museum Library, provides interdisciplinary coverage of the scholarly literature on ancient Mesoamerica as well as colonial Mexico and Guatemala published between 1960 and 2012.
"Coverage includes books, edited volumes, festschrifts, journal articles, essays in collected works, dissertations and theses, obituaries (2 pages +), CD-ROMs, audio and video tapes, and films pertaining to Mesoamerica. It will not include book reviews, sheet maps, working papers and other gray literature, juvenile literature, newspapers, unpublished manuscripts, and other unpublished materials."
