LIT 499: Women on the Road

Digitized Literary Archives

Go to the Primary Sources Online page of the main English libguide. Once there, click on the tabs for

  • African Americans;
  • American Colonies;
  • Literary Works; and/or
  • Women's History.

Under the Literary Works tab, for example, you will see links to archives such as Early American Fiction (University of Virginia) and other digitized historical and literary archives.

Don't forget that the library's Literature Online (LION) database provides access to thousands of works of poetry, prose, and drama including American Drama (1714-1915), Early American Fiction (1789-1875), and American Poetry (colonial times to present). Indeed, find the works of 63 authors from the American Colonial Period, 1607-1765 (e.g., Anne Bradstreet, Jonathan Edwards, Mary Rowlandson), and 223 authors from the Revolutionary and Early American Period, 1765-1830.
