Subject headings
When searching the library website for books, after you have a list of results, use the menu on the left to limit results by Subject Heading.

When you find a relevant book, click on its subject headings to lead you to similar titles. A sample of possible relevant subject headings includes:

- Women --Education
- Sex difference in education
- Sex role
- Gender identity in education
- Girls --Education
- Girls
Browse subtopics --Psychology, --Social conditions, Girls in popular culture...
- Teenage girls

- Use quotes to search for a phrase

- Search by keyword, combining different concepts

- Use Limits on the left to narrow your results
- Try a keyword search in the Online Catalog to find relevant titles, then use the subject headings assigned to those items to find more.

Can't find what you need at TCNJ? We can borrow books and articles from other libraries for you.
Interlibrary Loan
Use Interlibrary Loan services to request items not owned by TCNJ Library. Use the "Borrow/Request" link from the library homepage and login with your TCNJ username and password. The first time you log in, you will need to create an account then you will see a New User Request form.
