Sociology 301: Development of Socio-Cultural Theory

Starting with the Library's General Search Box

Most of the library's materials can be searched from the search box on the library's home page, including books, video, and many articles from scholarly journals. For those who are not on campus, print materials can be requested for curbside pickup and digital versions of selections (such as individual book chapters or encyclopedia entries) can be requested from the library's Document Delivery service.

To search topics for this class, consider using keywords such as the name of a particular theorist, name or type of theory, sociology, social theory, and/or phrases to describe the current event that you are researching. Use quotations to return matches to an exact phrase. For alternate spellings/endings, use ? or *:

  • Use wom?n to find woman and women.
  • Use cultur* to find culture, cultural, culturally.
