Literature Online (English/Literature)From the database homepage, click "Search all criticism." On the resulting page, just to the right of the Subject heading: search box, click "Look up subject heading." On the next page enter a term such as canon, and then click Find. A list of terms related to the concept or theme might appear. Check the radio button next to the subjects you are interested in, and then click Add to search. Finally, click the Search button to retrieve a highly targeted, relevant list of literary criticisms. Narrow your results even further by clicking on "Modify search" and then entering a second theme (or search facet) such as ideology to the Keywords search box.
