Finding songs and lyrics for your analysis group project.

1. First you need to identify the top songs for your assigned year. There are two ways to do this:

• For the last few years, use Billboard's End of Year compilations for best songs:
  • 2024 Best Gospel Songs
    2022 End of Year Gospel Songs (Billboard)
    2021 End of Year Gospel Songs (Billboard)
    2020 End of Year Gospel Songs (Billboard)
    2019 Top 5 Gospel Artists and Songs (scroll down for the songs)
• For earlier songs, use the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards Lists. Winners are listed from 1970 forward

2. Once you have your top songs, find lyrics using google. Add the word lyrics to your song title and artist, i.e.
