The Children's/Young Adult Collection can be found on Level 2 of TCNJ Library (north side of the building, near the periodicals section).
To search for children's/YA books using the Library's OneSearch box, search by keyword, title or author and limit to Books & Media.
On the left under Location there will be options for:
Children's Fiction
Young Adult Fiction
Children's/YA Collection (will retrieve fiction and non-fiction titles)
Children's/YA Collection - Caldecott Award
Children's/YA Collection - Newbery Award
Fiction is organized and shelved alphabetically by the Author's last name.
FICT will always appear on the book spine before the Author last name.

The Dewey Decimal Classification System is a numeric system used to organize non-fiction books at most school and public libraries. Each book is assigned a unique number according to the subject area in which is falls. This number appears on the spine label or the front left of the book cover, and serves as the "address" of the book on the shelf.
