Clipping

Many of the distributors that host the library's streaming films (Kanopy, AVON) have tools that allow you to create clips of films, giving you a portion of the film with a unique URL that can be shared, linked to, or embedded in Canvas. You can also embed or link to entire films in Canvas.

Once you have a film up on your screen,  look for the clipping tools in the video browser. In some cases, you will create a personal account to save your clips. Once you create the clip, copy and paste the embed code or the stable url into Canvas to share with students, use in assignments or discussions. Instructions for several video platform are listed below.

From the film that you wish to clip, choose : "Create Clip/Playlist." You will then be prompted to create a personal Kanopy account (different from your TCNJ account). Create a playlist, add your film to it, then clip the film from the playlist. Link to the playlist by copying and pasting the url into Canvas. See the Help Page for complete instructions on clipping films in Kanopy.
