Library Services during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Instruction

Librarians can help you with library instruction during these extraordinary times. We will help you decide which approaches/modes work best for your course learning objectives (as they relate to info skills). Options include:

  • The modules from TCNJ's required "Information Literacy Proficiency" course (IDS 102). (available here)
  • Sample assignment prompts related to info skills (some examples available here)
  • Instruction session options (contact John T. Oliver or your subject librarian):
    • Library fundamentals video playlist (7 videos combining lecture, demonstration, and hands-on student activities, total runtime 45 minutes) (available here).
    • Brief pre-recorded video lessons on specific learning objectives.
    • Live-streamed library instruction session (i.e., a realtime class visit by a librarian).

Feel free to propose another alternative. We will collaborate to find something that works for your course.
