This guide provides tips on how to use a variety of TCNJ Library resources and services.

Media Services is located on Level 4 of the Library and is the circulation point for videos, sound recordings, and CD-Roms. It has its own operating hours.

Tips for Searching the TCNJ Online Catalog

  • Use the full catalog search (click "More Search Options"  from library homepage)
  • Use Limits to search for a  “Sound Recording” or “Music Score” or "Videos/DVDs"
  • When searching by keyword
    • combine different concepts, i.e. gender poverty
    • use quotation marks to keep words together i.e. “ambient music”

Foreign DVDs and Videos at TCNJ

National and international DVDs and videos are available at Media Services (4th floor, TCNJ Library).

  1. Go to TCNJ Library Catalog search screen (from library homepage, click "More Search Options"
  2. Click on the Set More Limits button (extreme right-hand side of the screen): choose language and click on "set limits" button. 
  3. In the Search for box, enter "foreign films"
  4. In the Search in box, leave it as Keywords
  5. Click Search.

To see most recent films first, at the results screen go to Sort by: box -- choose "Date, newest first"
